President's Message

     On behalf of the California ASCD Leadership Council, we wish you a pleasant holiday season with time to relax, and enjoy family and friends.  Despite challenges during our economic difficulties, CASCD enjoyed a successful 2009 by increasing membership, maintaining great support from continuing and new corporate sponsors, and maintaining and creating partners with ASCD and CUE.  During 2009, CASCD provided professional development opportunities for educators, issued the monthly electronic newsletter entitled The Curriculum Feed, and maintained our website that has a wealth of information.
 
     During 2010, California ASCD will continue to provide information to California educators about exemplary curriculum, instruction, and leadership practices through our Curriculum Feed and professional development opportunities.  California ASCD will also continue to work with other state associations and sponsors to ensure that, despite tough economic times, programs and services will be offered to promote improvement in learning and teaching.
 
     Please support California ASCD by being an active member and recruiting others to do the same.
